SPARKHOUSE Takes Gold for Cinematography at ADDY Awards

Newport Beach, Calif., April 18, 2011— SPARKHOUSE, a full-service video marketing, advertising and media production agency, was recently awarded Gold at the district ADDY competition for Best Cinematography from the American Advertising Federation. They will now represent Orange County on the national stage in San Diego, CA on June 4th 2011.

The ADDY Awards is the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition, attracting over 50,000 entries every year. The Orange County ADDY competition brought together the best local talent to recognize and reward creative excellence in the art of advertising.

The award-winning video features legendary Southern California skateboarder Kevin Skibba and was part of a series for DICE Electronics called Music Driven Lifestyles.

“This video was all about connecting DICE with their consumers on an emotional level,” says Torrey Tayenaka, co-founder and CEO of SPARKHOUSE. “We wanted to capture the essence of Skibba through the lens. He’s a worry-free skateboarder, living the dream, giving back to what has given him so much.”

The video was published on YouTube and on the DICE website.

The DICE Electronics Music Driven Lifestyles video series features various interesting people and how music has affected their lives. Viewers were then encouraged to submit their own home video with the same theme for a chance to win prizes.

About the 23rd Annual ADDY Awards
Conducted annually by the American Advertising Federation (AAF), the local ADDY Awards is the first of a three-tier, national competition. Concurrently, all across the country, local entrants vie for recognition as the very best in their markets. At the second tier, local winners compete against other winners in one of 14 district competitions. District winners are then forwarded to the third tier, the national ADDY Awards competition. Entry in the local ADDY competition is the first step toward winning a national ADDY.
